Cooke RFC accepts that in promoting the healthy development of rugby football (in all age groups) it has a responsibility to protect the good image of the game and the reputation of the club.
In discharging that responsibility the club has adopted a number of principles which apply to all members and officials on and off the field of play.
As a club, and to benefit of enjoyment for all, we will:
- Encourage fair play, sportsmanship and friendship through sport;
- Discourage foul play and verbal abuse of referees, other match officials, all players and visiting officials;
- Welcome to our clubhouse and treat courteously referees and other match officials, opposing teams and officials and visitors in general;
- Expect all club officials including coaches, players and other members to conduct themselves in a manner which is acceptable and sets an example for our younger people;
- Encourage spectators at club matches to follow the spirit of these principles.
